Today, Square-Enix announced a firm release date for the European version of Final Fantasy Crisis Core. The American software charts for the week ending 29th March 2008 have been released, and unsurprisingly Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core hits top with a game breaking 277,633 copies sold. Its nearest competitive new entry into the charts is Dark Sector for the XBox360 with 73,819 copies brought. The Crisis Core launch event took place at the PlayStation Store at Metreon, San Francisco with no problems on March 25th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The first 200 visitors through the door guaranteed themselves a copy of the game, and the first 100 receivied a free T-shirt! - No wonder there was fifty people in line so early. Highlights of the launch event included a Shinra ID card station, art area and a Final Fantasy raffle. [Read More]
