Jo Garcia, Playboy's "Cyber Girl Of The Year" is apparently a big gamer and Final Fantasy fan. She recently became Playboy's "Cyber Girl Of The Year" by beating out 52 weeks of rival models in an online-only competition.
"People don't understand that that the whole gaming world is not just for geeks, and assume that every person who plays video games is a geek that wears glasses," Garcia said. "It's a misnomer that needs to be put to rest."

Nintendo's WiiWare service finally launched this week across North America with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King being avaliable for download for 1,500 Wii Points.
Nintendo's press release:

Today Square Enix announced the box art for Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift, which can be seen below.
We at Final Fantasy Series haven't talked much about this game, which will be released on June 24 2008. But according to Square Enix the game takes over 110+ hours to complete 100% on the Nintendo DS.

Square-Enix's simultaneous release campaign is already starting to take effect, as a DS PAL release for Final Fantasy 4 has been confirmed!
Square-Enix officially announced that Final Fantasy 4 would be "released across PAL territories in Summer 2008 exclusively on the Nintendo DS system." It was also mentioned those currently residing in the southern hemisphere will see the game in shops this Winter.

Recently released on the WiiWare in Japan, Crystal Chronicles : My Life as a King is set to release more downloadable material.
This includes; a Castle Update for 100 Points and Eleven new dungeons for 300 Points.
Additionally, these next two downloads will be coming in June; Library (your people can memorise abilities specific to their race) for 200 Points, and Tower of Eternity (another new dungeon, this one holding a treasure!) for 300 Points.

We have recently reported that Final Fantasy IV: DS would be coming to North America sometime in July, we can now officially announce that the game will hit North American stores on July 22, 2008.
Final Fanasy 4 DS, is expected to be a massive success in terms of critical acclaim and sales. Time will only tell come July 22nd.

Takashi Tokita, director of the original SNES Final Fantasy IV, has spoken about the DS remake in a recent interview.
Tokita's comments that Final Fantasy IV for the Nintendo DS is by far the most difficult version of IV. North American DS owners will have something to cheer about now that Final Fantasy IV is due to be released this year.
Nintendo Power is reporting that the retro/remake of IV's demo will be avaliable in English by July, 2008.

Although it was released in Japan back in October 2007, the announcement of an American release date for Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift hasn't even had a sniff of hitting the US shores. However this week Square Enix proclaimed the release date will be June 24th 2008 for Tactics A2. The platform of choice is the Nintendo DS. The game will hit European shores a little earlier for a change. 21st March is the planned date.
